New Horizon Co-op Invests in New Administration Building

New Horizon Co-op is proud to share some exciting news with our members and the Grande Prairie community. As part of our continued commitment to growth, service, and long-term sustainability, we have purchased a new Administration Building located at 9820 100 Avenue, directly across from our Downtown Food Store.

This building currently known as the Pomeroy Building represents an important investment in our downtown core and in the people who live, work, and do business in our region. The new space will allow New Horizon Co-op to bring key administrative teams together under one roof, improving collaboration, efficiency, and support for our operations across Grande Prairie.

By consolidating the Downtown Administration and Resource Office, the facility will also provide improved access to administrative services for division operations, ensuring our teams have the resources they need to better serve our members and customers.

Occupancy of the building will take place in two phases:
• Phase One begins in mid-April, when New Horizon Co-op takes possession of the top floor. Planned updates include fresh paint and lighting, additional office space, and an expanded boardroom to support meetings and organizational needs.
• Phase Two is expected in late June. This phase will focus on refreshing the main floor, creating welcoming meeting spaces, and incorporating interior branding that reflects who we are as a Co-op and what we stand for.

As part of the project, the exterior of the building will also be updated to align with current Co-op/CRS standards, helping further enhance the downtown streetscape.

This investment ensures New Horizon Co-op is well-positioned to serve our members today while planning responsibly for the future. Once the construction schedule is finalized, New Horizon Co-op will begin the process of selling the current Resource Office space.
