Community Event Fundraising Program

Our Community Event Fundraising Program is designed to support local community groups and non-profit organizations. We are excited to be part of initiatives that strengthen our community and enhance the lives of local residents through impactful fundraising efforts.

We welcome applications from:

Non-profit or registered charitable organizations exempt from taxation under the Canada Income Tax Act, whose programs and services directly benefit our community.
Not-for-profit community groups and youth organizations (non-registered organizations will also be considered).

How it Works: Complete the Online Application: Please submit your application a minimum of three weeks before your fundraising event.

Selection Process: Recipients will be chosen at the discretion of New Horizon Co-op. Preference will be given to causes and organizations that align with our Co-op’s core values.
We look forward to supporting initiatives that help build a stronger, more vibrant community.

Charity BBQ

Co-op offers you the opportunity to raise funds for your cause by selling hot dogs or burgers using our custom BBQ setup and prime location. This is a great way to engage the community and generate support for your organization or event.

Important Information for Donation Requests

Please note that to participate in this program, at least one member of your group must hold a valid Co-op membership. Additionally, your group's purpose should align with the values of New Horizon Co-op.

As a community-focused organization, New Horizon Co-op receives numerous donation requests throughout the year. We ask that you allow a minimum of two weeks for us to review your request and provide a response. While we strive to assist as many community organizations as possible, due to the high volume of requests, we are unable to approve every proposal. Please understand that a decision not to approve your request does not reflect the value of your organization or the important service you provide to the community.
