Good Buy to Hunger is one of many initiatives New Horizon Co-op supports to benefit our communities! Good Buy to Hunger Bags are available for purchase all year round, but the big push for this campaign is in November and December as the holiday season begins. During December, in addition to having bags for purchase, we sell window decals and collect coinbox donations
for our Good Buy to Hunger fund. New Horizon Co-op has pledged to match donations up to $15,000. 

Local food banks, soup kitchens, emergency drop-in centers, and school breakfast/ lunch programs are just a few groups that benefit from the program. The donations support the communities of Grande Prairie, Clairmont, Sexsmith, Rycroft, La Glace, Beaverlodge, Hythe, Grande Cache, Falher, Smoky River, Valleyview, and Spirit River.

New Horizon Co-op is proud to get behind local initiatives that are working to address the need for food security in the communities we serve. Thank you to our members and patrons for the support you’ve shown for New Horizon Co-op’s Good Buy to Hunger campaign over the last 20+ years.

The results are in, and we are overjoyed to share that our 2023 Good Buy to Hunger Campaign was a massive success, raising a total of $67,168.96 in donations! 🎉 A heartfelt thank you to everyone who contributed.
